Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

The author

Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.

A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions towards young women.

The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
