Administration Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as More Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Released
House Democrats have made public a fresh batch of what they termed "alarming" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, depicting among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 photographs—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 released later on Friday constitute a minuscule portion of the approximately 100,000 images released to the House oversight committee, which is probing the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking offenses.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Included in the notable figures seen in the opening set are celebrities featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin empire.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Statement
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of selectively "cherry-picking" the images for political purposes and to "try and create a false narrative."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been time and again refuted," a presidential representative stated, insisting that "the current government has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by frequently urging openness, making public thousands of pages of records, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Democratic Lawmaker Remarks
The photographs were released lacking captions, but according to a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's associations with the rich and powerful.
"The moment has come to end this White House concealment and deliver justice to the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he declared in a comment.
The disclosure of these documents comes as the House panel proceeding with its inquiry into the Epstein case.
